Assetto Corsa > General Discussions > Topic Details. broken back dylan Dec 31, 2017 @ 4:46pm. G29 Shifter Help. Hello, I recently got a g29 with a shifter. I downloaded this game and I cant figure out how to use the shifter with it. Ive googled it and did the wizard setup. It just doesn't let me use it even though I have the clutch set up with it.
If you have one, any old flight joystick works well for that purpose. I use right hand drive, so I map the handbrake to numpad 0 on my keyboard and place it next to my shifter. It works well enough. i have a g29 and i have it bound to O because it is the closest to my thumb. I map it to the right paddle shifter and I use an H shifter.

Try going to settings > assetto corsa > miscellaneous and uncheck the Use mouse pit stop option. I had the same problem and it worked for me. D1s1nformat1on. 4 yr. ago. It wasn't checked sadly. Appreciate it though. I've managed a workaround for now that will do for today's race. [deleted]
The “ideal” NFR setting for drifting in AC (Assetto Corsa) is setting it to 2%. The NDP in AC stands for Natural Damper and this setting helps stiffen or loosen the dampers. For drifting, you want to turn it up from the original setting. The best NDP setting for drifting in Assetto Corsa is 18%.
